  1. Chapter 1 of Novak tells you the history of game development. Where will game development go next? Write a detailed essay giving your prediction of the next major step in game development within the next 10 years.

  2. Summarize the currently available game platforms and player modes. Look in the wikipedia for the chess variant Kriegspiel (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kriegspiel_%28chess%29) and analyse the best match(es) of platform and players mode to that game.

  3. Summarize the currently popular game goals and genres. Pick one important non-entertainment goal for games and discuss it in detail.

  4. Pick one particular type of game that interests you. Do some research an the market for that type of game and write an essay on that subject. Include within your essay a discussion of how you would line up appropriate stakeholders and/or focus groups to help guide the development og a game of that type.

  5. Create a premise, backstory and synopsis for an original game that targets your fellow college age students.

  6. Summarize the five most important things about iPhone development that you learned from the assigned videos.

  7. Give the status of your graphing calculator app. Give the URL of the current best version. If the project is not complete, give a carefully thought-out timeline to finish it.

  8. Propose your second major project to be finished by the end of March.
