• Assignment #1, assigned Tuesday, 27 January 2009, due Tuesday, 3 February and Tuesday 10 February 2009
  • Be certain to get your text books no later than 3 February.
  • Read Chapter 1 of Rispoli, Cosares and Abramson. Do all the problems, checking your work on the problems with answers at the back of the book, and be prepared to turn in a randomly selected subset on 10 February.
• Assignment #2, assigned Tuesday, 10 February 2009, due Tuesday, 24 February 2009
  • In doing all further assignments, please use either Excel or Calc to prepare your answers whenever possible.
  • Read Chapter 2 of Rispoli, Cosares and Abramson. Do all the problems, checking your work on the problems with answers at the back of the book, and be prepared to turn in a randomly selected subset on 24 February.
• Assignment #3, assigned Tuesday, 24 February 2009, due Tuesday, 17 March 2009
  • Read Chapter 3 of Rispoli, Cosares and Abramson. Do all the problems, checking your work on the problems with answers at the back of the book, and be prepared to turn in a randomly selected subset on 17 March.
• Assignment #4, assigned Tuesday, 17 March 2009, due Tuesday, 31 March 2009 and beyond
  • Read Chapter 4 of Rispoli, Cosares and Abramson. Do all the problems, checking your work on the problems with answers at the back of the book, and be prepared to turn in a randomly selected subset from section 4.1 on 31 March, from section 4.2 on 14 April and the rest of the Chapter on 21 April.
• Assignment #5, assigned Tuesday, 21 April 2009, due Tuesday, 28 April 2009.
  • You will have a closed book final in class on Tuesday 5 May 2009. You will be allowed 2 sides of an 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet of paper for notes to use during the test, but the notes you will use must be submitted to the instructor for approval on Tuesday, 28 April 2009.
